Luis never gave up the lead

One evening, 4 players, a single crown. The rest — stories to tell over coffee.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 75 points. Somebody had to do it. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Ionela, with 79 points. 3 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ionela said and... hoped. It didn't hold. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.

Radu took second with 86 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Radu left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Luis finishes on 120 points, 34 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In front from the first of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
