The comeback of Sebi

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

The tail of the table: Elena, with 57 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. 2 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena. Before the last eights, only 10 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.

Vyce rounds out the podium with 71 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the second of the closing eights, Vyce bid 2 and took 5 — and Luis and Sebi went down with them. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, Vyce was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Luis finishes second, 15 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. In the second of the opening eights: Luis called 2, took 6, and Sebi was left out in the cold.

Champion of the evening: Sebi, with 88 points. The rest, see you in the replay. Sebi was even last after the seven-card hand on the way down, which makes the win all the sweeter. Going into the last hand the lead was already 23 — that one was a lap of honour.
