Vlad never gave up the lead

The cards are back in the box. Here is what happened at the table.

Last place: Mihai, with 98 points. In the fifth of the opening eights: Mihai said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Ana.

Ioana finished 5th with 100 points. Ioana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Ana finished 4th with 109 points. After the seven-card hand on the way up, Ana was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, on the podium: Radu, up there with eyes on the top step. Radu left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Elena took second with 124 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Vlad took the game with 150 points and a 26-point cushion — never really in doubt. In front from the fifth of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 10 good hands in a row — at one point, Vlad was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
