Luis comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 41 slips at the table and scores from 113 down to 39.

Luis won at a stroll, with 113 points and 46 clear of the rest. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 6 good hands in a row.

Radu took second with 67 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Radu was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Third, and on the podium: Laura, with 67 points. Level on points with Radu, and behind only on the tie-break.

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 39 points. In the last of the closing eights, Ionela bid 1 and took 4 — and Radu went down with it.

Well played everyone — and especially Luis!
