Luis takes the table

4 players · 2 October 2026

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 102 down to 59.

Luis wins by 26 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. At one stretch, 11 good hands in a row.

Kiki took second with 76 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: only Kiki slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Kiki. Kiki was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Third, and on the podium: Monica, with 69 points. Monica said they'd take nothing in the four-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Daniela closed the table from the back, on 59 points — there is always a next game. After the two-card hand on the way up, Daniela was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
