Luis never gave up the lead

4 players · 29 September 2026

4 players, 24 hands, one winner and a pile of excuses. Let's see how it went.

Last place, with dignity: Ana, with 64 points. Somebody had to do it. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ana didn't — but insisted, with dignity. After the two-card hand on the way up, Ana was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Mihai, with 75 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Elena took second with 81 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Elena plays right down to the last card.

Luis finishes on 135 points, 54 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 19 good hands in a row — at one point, Luis was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Well played everyone — and especially Luis!
