Luis never gave up the lead

A game of broken contracts — 39 of them around the table, and scores from 91 all the way down to 57.

Ana took last place without any nerves at all, on 57 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Ana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Elena rounds out the podium with 82 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Elena was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand.

Mihai finishes second, 8 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. Mihai got past Elena at the very last hand.

First place, no appeal: Luis, with 91 points. In the last of the closing eights, Luis bid 0 and took 3 — and Ana went down with it. In front from the first of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Well played everyone — and especially Luis!
