Ana comes back from behind

6 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

First place and peace of mind: Ana, with 126 points. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 12 good hands in a row — at one point, Ana was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Ioana, with 116 points. The last hand decided it: Ioana went past Vlad right on the line.

Radu completed the podium with 113 points. The last hand decided it: Radu went past Vlad right on the line. In the fifth of the middle eights, Radu bid 1 and took 4 — and Elena and Mihai went down with them.

Vlad finished 4th with 110 points. Vlad was ahead of Ioana right up to the last hand. After the two-card hand on the way up, Vlad was leading the table — but the last hands had other plans.

Elena finished 5th with 94 points. Elena said they'd take nothing in the five-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 43 points. In the first of the closing eights: Mihai called 3, took 6, and Elena and Ioana were left out in the cold.
