Ana, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 37 slips at the table and scores from 107 down to 60.

Ana took the game with 107 points and a 21-point cushion — never really in doubt. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

edge took second with 86 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. edge said they'd take nothing in the three-card hand on the way up... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Mihai completed the podium with 64 points. The last hand decided it: Mihai went past Elena right on the line.

Last place, with dignity: Elena, with 60 points. Somebody had to do it. 3 hands in a row: the table said and did, Elena said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Elena was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
