Emi, from start to finish

The cards went out, and so did the egos. Here is what came of it.

First place: Emi, with 135 points. The rest, see you in the replay. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Second place went to Elena, with 124 points. At one stretch, 12 good hands in a row.

Mihai completed the podium with 116 points. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

In 4th place, Ana, on 115 points. The place above was a single point away. After the two-card hand on the way up, Ana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Radu in 5th, with 88 points. The comfort zone. The last hand decided it: Radu went past Ioana right on the line.

Ioana closes out the table, with 88 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. Level on points with Radu, and behind only on the tie-break. Ioana was ahead of Radu right up to the last hand.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
