Elena takes the table

Radu took second with 68 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. The last hand decided it: Radu went past Denisa right on the line. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Radu plays right down to the last card.

Denisa rounds out the podium with 67 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Denisa was ahead of Radu right up to the last hand.

Mihai closed the table from the back, on 56 points — there is always a next game. From leader to red lantern. The little wedge tipped the big cart — and the cart was Mihai. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.
