Gigel takes it in the closing rounds

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 40 slips at the table and scores from 98 down to 46.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Barladeanu, with 82 points. Barladeanu was even in front after the six-card hand on the way up. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Barladeanu plays right down to the last card.

Ionela rounds out the podium with 72 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: Ionela broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Luis took last place without any nerves at all, on 46 points. Before the last eights, only 9 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold. The first of the closing eights: 2 chairs thrown at Luis in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.
