Lucky never gave up the lead

A game of broken contracts — 34 of them around the table, and scores from 97 all the way down to 78.

The tail of the table: Elena, with 78 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. Elena was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand. After the third of the closing eights, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 79 points. Ana got past Elena at the very last hand.

Mihai finished second, just 2 points short of the win. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

2 points. That's all. Lucky won in the blink of an eye — so don't blink. In the seven-card hand on the way up: Lucky said 1, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Elena and Mihai. In front from the third of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
