Mihai won with 84 points, by a whisker: just 1 point ahead. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Elena led for 9 hands but finished second, 1 point behind. In the second of the opening eights: Elena said 4, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Ana. The place above was a single point away.

Ana rounds out the podium with 65 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: Ana went past Lucky right on the line.

The tail of the table: Lucky, with 60 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. From leader to red lantern. The little wedge tipped the big cart — and the cart was Lucky. In the first of the opening eights, Lucky bid 2 and took 5 — and Mihai went down with it. Lucky couldn't bear to look 4 times 🙈 — some cards are not meant to be seen.
