Cretu wins the evening

A game of broken contracts — 35 of them around the table, and scores from 130 all the way down to 52.

Vyce took last place without any nerves at all, on 52 points. 13 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

edge rounds out the podium with 77 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the second of the closing eights, edge bid 3 and took 6 — and Vyce went down with it. 2 hands in a row: edge broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Elena took second with 84 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the four-card hand on the way down: Elena called 0, took 3, and Vyce was left out in the cold.

Cretu finishes on 130 points, 46 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. 13 good hands in a row — at one point, Cretu was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
