The lead kept changing — Ioana came out on top

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.
Last place: Ana, with 73 points. Leading by the book until the last of the opening eights... then the cards turned the page. Ana, hard luck. In the last of the closing eights: Ana said 1, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Vlad.
In 5th place, Elena, on 85 points. After the seven-card hand on the way up, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Mihai finished 4th with 98 points. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Mihai plays right down to the last card.
Third, and on the podium: Radu, with 112 points. In the third of the middle eights: Radu said 0, scooped 3, and Vlad was left counting the pieces. Radu was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.
Second place went to Vlad, with 114 points. Vlad swore 0 in the third of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.
First place: Ioana, with 126 points. At one stretch, 13 good hands in a row. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
