The lead kept changing — Radu came out on top

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Cosmin closes out the table, with 77 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. In the first of the opening eights: Cosmin called 1, took 4, and Ioana was left out in the cold.

Mihai finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 91 points. Mihai said they'd take nothing in the third of the middle eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Ana finished 4th with 93 points. After the three-card hand on the way up, Ana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Ioana, with 107 points. Ioana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Elena finished second, just 0 points short of the win. Level on points with Radu, and behind only on the tie-break. Elena was ahead of Radu right up to the last hand.

Radu finished level and took the win on the tie-break: fewer broken contracts. Whist rewards the player who keeps their word. In the third of the closing eights: Radu said 0, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Mihai.
