Mihai wins it late

Last place, with dignity: Ana, with 45 points. Somebody had to do it. After the four-card hand on the way up, Ana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Daniela, with 55 points. In the third of the middle eights: Daniela said 2, scooped 6, and Ana was left counting the pieces. Daniela was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

Elena led for 11 hands but finished second, 8 points behind. In the third of the opening eights, Elena bid 2 and took 6 — and Ana went down with it. Elena was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand.

Mihai gathered 101 points and the hearts of the crowd. Bravo! Mihai only went in front at the very last hand.
