Carmen, from start to finish

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.
Carmen won the game with 137 points. In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 13 good hands in a row — at one point, Carmen was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
Second place for Ioana, with 131 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. One card, a single card, and Ioana still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.
Ana completed the podium with 128 points. In the third of the opening eights, Ana bid 0 and took 3 — and Elena went down with it.
Elena finished 4th with 112 points. Elena spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.
In 5th place, Mihai, on 101 points. 2 hands in a row: Mihai broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
Radu closes out the table, with 99 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. In the first of the closing eights, Radu bid 0 and took 3 — and Elena went down with it.
Well played everyone. Same table next time?
