Mihai comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 98 down to 63.

Mihai won the game with 98 points. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, Mihai was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Ana, with 81 points. The last hand decided it: Ana went past Luis right on the line. In the first of the opening eights: Ana called 1, took 4, and Luis was left out in the cold.

Third, on the podium: Luis, up there with eyes on the top step. Luis was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand.

Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 63 points. Leading by the book until the last of the opening eights... then the cards turned the page. Elena, hard luck. In the second of the middle eights: Elena said 3, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Ana and Mihai.
