edge, from start to finish

Another evening at the green baize, and it had a bit of everything.

edge won at a stroll, with 121 points and 22 clear of the rest. In front from the third of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, edge said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Elena took second with 99 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.

Mihai completed the podium with 79 points. One card, a single card, and Mihai still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.

Last, but with style: Vyce, with 72 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. After the two-card hand on the way up, Vyce was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone — and especially edge!
