The comeback of Elena

The lead changed hands 9 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 51 points. In the second of the closing eights: Mihai said 1, scooped 4, and Ana and Emi were left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Third, on the podium: Ana, up there with eyes on the top step. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ana didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Second place went to Emi, with 77 points. 2 hands in a row: only Emi slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Emi. Emi was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way up.

Elena takes the game with 84 points and goes home happy. In the last of the closing eights: Elena called 2, took 7, and Mihai was left out in the cold. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
