The comeback of Luis

A game of broken contracts — 35 of them around the table, and scores from 124 all the way down to 47.

Raluca took last place without any nerves at all, on 47 points. Started like a champion — top of the table after the six-card hand on the way down — and finished like a tragedy. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Raluca said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

unf0rgettable completed the podium with 80 points. unf0rgettable was even in front after the last of the opening eights. unf0rgettable sat thinking 3 times 🤔 — and still bid on a guess.

Scorpio04 took second with 89 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the last of the closing eights: Scorpio04 called 1, took 4, and unf0rgettable was left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: only Scorpio04 slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Scorpio04.

Luis finishes on 124 points, 35 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 10 good hands in a row — at one point, Luis was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards. Luis cried laughing 3 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
