The comeback of Ana

The lead changed hands 10 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 74 points. Somebody had to do it. Top of the table after the last of the opening eights, then straight to the bottom. The plan at home didn't match the one at the table. In the first of the closing eights: Mihai said 1, scooped 4, and Luis was left counting the pieces.

Luis completed the podium with 78 points. In the third of the closing eights: Luis called 1, took 4, and Ana was left out in the cold. Luis was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand.

Ionela took the runner-up spot with 81 points. Ionela was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand. Ionela was even in front after the six-card hand on the way up.

Ana crossed the finish line first, on 85 points. Ana only went in front at the very last hand. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ana didn't — but insisted, with dignity.
