Florentin never gave up the lead

One evening, 5 players, a single crown. The rest — stories to tell over coffee.

Petru took last place without any nerves at all, on 64 points. 13 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

Gigel finished 4th with 97 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Gigel said and... hoped. It didn't hold. After the five-card hand on the way up, Gigel was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Alice, with 101 points. In the fourth of the opening eights: Alice said 2, scooped 5, and 3 others were left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Alice said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Second place for Denisa, with 104 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. Denisa said they'd take nothing in the three-card hand on the way up... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

First place and peace of mind: Florentin, with 114 points. In front from the fourth of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Well played everyone — and especially Florentin!
