MulgeL comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 45 slips at the table and scores from 83 down to 49.

MulgeL finishes on 83 points, 25 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 6 good hands in a row — at one point, MulgeL was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards. In the third of the opening eights, 2 chairs flew at MulgeL within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.

Cozie took second with 58 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the first of the closing eights: Cozie called 1, took 6, and Claussss and Vasile were left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: Cozie broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, and on the podium: Claussss, with 57 points. The place above was a single point away. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Claussss said and... hoped. It didn't hold. In the last of the opening eights the table couldn't make up its mind about Claussss: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.

Vasile closes out the table, with 49 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. 3 hands in a row: Vasile broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. After the three-card hand on the way up, Vasile was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. Vasile cried laughing 30 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.
