Emi wins the evening

Denisa took second with 96 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Denisa said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Denisa was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Emi took the game with 117 points and a 21-point cushion — never really in doubt. In the seven-card hand on the way up: Emi called 2, took 5, and Elena and Nico were left out in the cold. 11 good hands in a row — at one point, Emi was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
