The comeback of Denisa

A game of broken contracts — 48 of them around the table, and scores from 116 all the way down to 65.

The tail of the table: Emi, with 65 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. In the third of the middle eights, Emi bid 3 and took 6 — and Alice and Petru went down with them.

Petru finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 73 points. 24 behind Alice, 8 ahead of Emi — right in the thick of it.

Third, on the podium: Alice, up there with eyes on the top step. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Alice didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Kiki led for 19 hands but finished second, 0 points behind. Level on points with Denisa, and behind only on the tie-break. Kiki cried laughing 9 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

Denisa finished level with Kiki on 116 points and took the win on the tie-break: fewer broken contracts. In the first of the closing eights: Denisa said 0, made 3, and the evening was ruined for Emi. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
