Mihai takes it in the closing rounds

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 89 down to 67.

Mihai won by a whisker, with just 1 point — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, Mihai was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Sebi finished second, just 1 point short of the win. The place above was a single point away.

Ana rounds out the podium with 74 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Ana was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Last, but with style: Cretu, with 67 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. In the third of the opening eights: Cretu said 2, scooped 5, and Sebi was left counting the pieces. Before the last eights, only 1 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.
