Luis comes back from behind

Second place for Ana, with 76 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. In the seven-card hand on the way down, Ana bid 2 and took 5 — and Ionela and Luis went down with them. 2 hands in a row: only Ana slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Ana.

Ionela completed the podium with 70 points. Ionela swore 0 in the first of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

The tail of the table: Mihai, with 64 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. The table was Mihai's after the last of the opening eights; the second half had other ideas.
