The comeback of Kiki

The lead changed hands 6 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Alice took last place without any nerves at all, on 73 points. In the first of the middle eights: Alice said 3, scooped 6, and Kiki was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Alice said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Cristi finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 88 points. In the second of the closing eights: Cristi said 0, scooped 4, and Raluca was left counting the pieces. Cristi was ahead of Raluca right up to the last hand.

Third, and on the podium: Raluca, with 95 points. Raluca got past Cristi at the very last hand. Raluca was even in front after the five-card hand on the way up.

Luis led for 10 hands but finished second, 9 points behind. Luis swore 0 in the fourth of the middle eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Kiki crossed the finish line first, on 109 points. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Well played everyone — and especially Kiki!
