Ana comes back from behind

The lead changed hands 4 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Ana takes the game with 88 points and goes home happy. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Mihai led for 10 hands but finished second, 16 points behind. The last hand decided it: Mihai went past Elena right on the line. In the seven-card hand on the way up, Mihai bid 2 and took 5 — and Elena and Monica went down with them.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 70 points. In the last of the opening eights: Elena said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Ana. Elena was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand.

Last, but with style: Monica, with 61 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. After the four-card hand on the way up, Monica was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
