Alina comes back from behind

5 players · 28 September 2026

5 players, 27 hands, one winner. Here is how it went.

Alina won by a whisker, with just 1 point — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. Alina only went in front at the very last hand.

Luis led for 12 hands but finished second, 1 point behind. Luis was ahead of Alina right up to the last hand. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.

Alice rounds out the podium with 105 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Alice was ahead of Alina right up to the last hand. The fourth of the middle eights: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew at Alice 🪑💋 — the table couldn't decide whether it adored them.

Mara finished 4th with 97 points. In the last of the middle eights: Mara said 1, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Alice.

Daniel S took last place without any nerves at all, on 70 points. In the first of the opening eights, Daniel bid 1 and took 5 — and Alina went down with it. 2 hands in a row: only Daniel slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Daniel.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
