Vyce never gave up the lead

A game of broken contracts — 42 of them around the table, and scores from 101 all the way down to 41.

Last place: Adell, with 41 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Adell said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Luis completed the podium with 52 points. In the last of the opening eights: Luis called 0, took 4, and Adell was left out in the cold.

Ionela took second with 76 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Ionela said they'd take nothing in the seven-card hand on the way up... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Vyce took the game with 101 points and a 25-point cushion — never really in doubt. In front from the third of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, Vyce was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards. Vyce cried laughing 3 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.
