Musetoiu wins it late

9 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Last place: Teo, with 79 points. Top of the table after the four-card hand on the way down, then straight to the bottom. The plan at home didn't match the one at the table. In the second of the opening eights: Teo said 0, scooped 3, and Padre was left counting the pieces.

Padre finished 5th with 93 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Padre said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Neither at the front nor at the back: CATA in 4th, with 111 points. The comfort zone. CATA was ahead of Edy right up to the last hand. After the fourth of the closing eights, CATA was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: TaNE, with 113 points. TaNE was ahead of Edy right up to the last hand. At one stretch, 11 good hands in a row.

Edy finishes second, 7 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. Edy got past TaNE at the very last hand. In the fourth of the opening eights: Edy said 1, scooped 4, and CATA was left counting the pieces.

First place and peace of mind: Musetoiu, with 122 points.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
