Elena wins the evening

A game of broken contracts — 38 of them around the table, and scores from 100 all the way down to 68.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 68 points. Somebody had to do it. Level on points with Ana, and behind only on the tie-break. In the second of the middle eights: Mihai said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Ana.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 68 points. Ana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Daniela took second with 79 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Daniela was even in front after the third of the middle eights.

Elena finishes on 100 points, 21 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
