PaulP takes the table

Another evening at the green baize, and it had a bit of everything.

First place and peace of mind: PaulP, with 131 points. 15 good hands in a row — at one point, PaulP was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Ilinca led for 10 hands but finished second, 12 points behind. The last hand decided it: Ilinca went past Mara right on the line. 2 hands in a row: Ilinca broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, on the podium: Mara, up there with eyes on the top step. Level on points with Ilinca, and behind only on the tie-break. Mara was ahead of Ilinca right up to the last hand.

Alina finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 116 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Alina was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. The fourth of the closing eights: 2 kisses rained down on Alina 💋 — the darling of the table.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Matei in 5th, with 105 points. The comfort zone. In the fourth of the middle eights, Matei bid 0 and took 4 — and Mara went down with it. After the six-card hand on the way up, Matei was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Cretu took last place without any nerves at all, on 74 points. 15 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

Well played everyone — and especially PaulP!
