Mihai wins the evening

A game of broken contracts — 40 of them around the table, and scores from 83 all the way down to 57.

Last place, with dignity: Ionela, with 57 points. Somebody had to do it. Started like a champion — top of the table after the four-card hand on the way down — and finished like a tragedy. In the last of the closing eights: Ionela said 3, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Daniela.

Third, and on the podium: Daniela, with 58 points. Daniela was even in front after the two-card hand on the way down.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Luis, with 79 points. In the first of the middle eights, Luis bid 1 and took 5 — and Ionela went down with it. 2 hands in a row: Luis broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Mihai crossed the finish line first, on 83 points.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
