unf0rgettable comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

unf0rgettable wins by 23 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. In the second of the opening eights: unf0rgettable said 1, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Mihai. At one stretch, 13 good hands in a row.

Mihai took second with 89 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai. Mihai spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 78 points. Elena got past Daniela at the very last hand. Elena was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

Daniela closed the table from the back, on 71 points — there is always a next game. In the six-card hand on the way up: Daniela called 1, took 5, and Elena and unf0rgettable were left out in the cold. 3 hands in a row: Daniela broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.
