edge comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 8 times over — it was anyone's guess.

First place: edge, with 132 points. At one stretch, 10 good hands in a row.

Second place for CCC, with 118 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. CCC said they'd take nothing in the six-card hand on the way up... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite. The first of the middle eights: 2 chairs thrown at CCC in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Third, on the podium: Roua, up there with eyes on the top step. Roua got past Daniela at the very last hand. In the fourth of the closing eights: Roua said 0, scooped 5, and Daniela and Raluca were left counting the pieces. The six-card hand on the way up: 2 chairs thrown at Roua in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Daniela in 4th, with 97 points. The comfort zone. Daniela was ahead of Roua right up to the last hand. After the six-card hand on the way up, Daniela was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. In the second of the opening eights, Daniela was showered with 2 kisses in a matter of seconds 💋.

In 5th place, Raluca, on 80 points. In the fourth of the opening eights, Raluca bid 0 and took 6 — and CCC and Daniela went down with them. 2 hands in a row: only Raluca slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Raluca. In the fourth of the opening eights the table couldn't make up its mind about Raluca: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.

HelenC took last place without any nerves at all, on 61 points. 16 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
