Alina, from start to finish

Another evening at the green baize, and it had a bit of everything.

Alina gathered 131 points and the hearts of the crowd. Bravo! In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Daniel S finishes second, 12 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. The last hand decided it: Daniel went past Cristi right on the line.

Cristi rounds out the podium with 118 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Cristi was ahead of Daniel S right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: Cristi broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Matei in 4th, with 112 points. The comfort zone. After the three-card hand on the way up, Matei was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Alice in 5th, with 109 points. The comfort zone. In the fourth of the closing eights, Alice bid 1 and took 4 — and Alina went down with it. After the three-card hand on the way up, Alice was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Mara took last place without any nerves at all, on 90 points. 12 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

Well played everyone — and especially Alina!
