Emi comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Emi won at a stroll, with 99 points and 28 clear of the rest. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.

unf0rgettable led for 13 hands but finished second, 28 points behind. unf0rgettable said they'd take nothing in the first of the closing eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Third, on the podium: Elena, up there with eyes on the top step. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Mihai closes out the table, with 54 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. Mihai had the table at their feet after the two-card hand on the way down. Whist was there to remind them nothing lasts forever. In the last of the middle eights: Mihai called 3, took 8, and Elena was left out in the cold.

Well played everyone — and especially Emi!
