The comeback of Elena

Last place, with dignity: Ana, with 82 points. Somebody had to do it. 3 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ana said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Ana was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand.

Luis rounds out the podium with 88 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the seven-card hand on the way down, Luis bid 1 and took 4 — and Mihai went down with it. Luis was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand.

Mihai took the runner-up spot with 89 points. Mihai got past Luis at the very last hand. Mihai was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Elena takes the game with 105 points and goes home happy. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 2 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.
