Cristian comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 40 slips at the table and scores from 120 down to 30.

Cristian Imparat won at a stroll, with 120 points and 25 clear of the rest. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row.

Mihai led for 8 hands but finished second, 25 points behind. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 58 points. In the second of the closing eights: Elena said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Monica.

Monica took last place without any nerves at all, on 30 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Monica said and... hoped. It didn't hold. After the two-card hand on the way up, Monica was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone — and especially Cristian Imparat!
