Last place, with dignity: Kiki, with 69 points. Somebody had to do it. Top of the table after the last of the opening eights, then straight to the bottom. The plan at home didn't match the one at the table. In the last of the closing eights: Kiki said 4, scooped 8, and Elena was left counting the pieces.

Third, and on the podium: Ana, with 81 points. In the first of the closing eights: Ana said 1, scooped 4, and Kiki was left counting the pieces.

Elena finished second, just 2 points short of the win. Elena was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand. Elena was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way up.

Mihai won by a whisker, with just 2 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. Mihai only went in front at the very last hand. Mihai was even last after the two-card hand on the way down, which makes the win all the sweeter.
