A tug of war, won by Daniela

The lead changed hands 9 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Daniela won with 129 points, by a whisker: just 1 point ahead.

Mihai finished second, just 1 point short of the win. The place above was a single point away. Mihai was even in front after the five-card hand on the way down.

Radu rounds out the podium with 99 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: Radu went past Raluca right on the line. In the first of the middle eights: Radu called 0, took 4, and Elena was left out in the cold.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Raluca in 4th, with 91 points. The comfort zone. Raluca was ahead of Radu right up to the last hand. After the three-card hand on the way up, Raluca was leading the table — but the last hands had other plans.

Elena took last place without any nerves at all, on 53 points. In the third of the opening eights: Elena said 4, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Radu. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Elena said and... hoped. It didn't hold.
