Elena comes back from behind

The lead passed from hand to hand, 7 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Elena crossed the finish line first, on 82 points. Elena only went in front at the very last hand.

Second place went to Kiki, with 76 points. In the last of the opening eights, Kiki bid 4 and took 7 — and Emi and George went down with them. Kiki was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand.

Third, and on the podium: Emi, with 63 points. In the second of the opening eights: Emi said 4, made 8, and the evening was ruined for George.

Last, but with style: George, with 60 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. Top of the table after the second of the middle eights, then straight to the bottom. The plan at home didn't match the one at the table. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, George said and... hoped. It didn't hold.
