The comeback of Claussss

The lead passed from hand to hand, 8 times over — it was anyone's guess.

MulgeL took last place without any nerves at all, on 41 points. In the second of the opening eights: MulgeL said 5, made 8, and the evening was ruined for Cozie. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only MulgeL didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Third, and on the podium: Cozie, with 73 points. In the first of the closing eights: Cozie said 0, scooped 3, and Vasile was left counting the pieces. Cozie was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

Vasile finished second, just 3 points short of the win. Vasile was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Claussss won by a whisker, with just 3 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
