Alice comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 50 slips at the table and scores from 115 down to 77.

Alice finishes on 115 points, 22 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. In the seven-card hand on the way up, Alice was showered with 2 kisses in a matter of seconds 💋.

Denisa took second with 93 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the first of the opening eights: Denisa called 0, took 4, and Cristian Imparat and PaulP were left out in the cold. Denisa was even in front after the second of the closing eights.

Third, and on the podium: Cosmin, with 86 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Cosmin said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

In 4th place, PaulP, on 78 points. After the fourth of the closing eights, PaulP was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. PaulP declared the table on fire 6 times 🔥 — the fire brigade never showed.

Last place, with dignity: Cristian Imparat, with 77 points. Somebody had to do it. In the fourth of the closing eights: Cristian said 0, made 4, and the evening was ruined for Denisa. The place above was a single point away.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
