The comeback of Ana

7 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Last, but with style: Mihai, with 71 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. After the second of the closing eights, Mihai was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Elena rounds out the podium with 81 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the third of the opening eights, Elena bid 3 and took 6 — and Mihai went down with it. Elena was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand.

edge took the runner-up spot with 84 points. The last hand decided it: edge went past Elena right on the line. 2 hands in a row: only edge slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but edge.

Ana comes out on top of everyone, with 89 points. The cards were kind. Ana only went in front at the very last hand. Ana was even last after the second of the closing eights, which makes the win all the sweeter.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
